Annual Christmas Show

The annual Even Nine Christmas gig will be back at Bunters in Truro, Cornwall this year. Now becoming a tradition the boys will do a special show with no support and for the only time of the year will play two sets. With lots of special guests and different songs, for the past two years this has been of the band’s favourite nights of the year, so don’t miss out…

The band have been busy working on putting together a tour of the country for next month. The dates start with a Cornish show at Bunters in Truro on Thursday 2nd. It’s the band’s first show at Bunters this year and looks set to get the tour of to flying start! Featuring 12 brand new tracks and recorded at the Cube in Cornwall. The new album is all of Even Nine’s explosive, energetic live sound captured at last! A huge progression for the band, ‘No Heroes Anymore’ is loaded with twelve tracks which each present a different edge to Even Nine’s powerful brand of rock. While the band’s knack of creating melodic, pumping tunes is the main focus of the album, with melodies, riffs, hooks and deep grooves hitting you at every turn, the musical palette has been widened to include atmospheric piano led tunes, moments of calm reflection, on to searing high octane yells and through to an occasional hint of country and blues. Also present is the unique personalities of each of the band members. Jody Martin’s distinct powerful voice and expression draws you in to every word. Whilst the rest of the band supports the ever powerful and moving lyrics, they provide enough guitar and bass lines and drum thunder to keep you unable to shift attention between words. The album deftly avoids any of the usual musical trappings and clichés and manages to leave the listener with a record that both sounds new, fresh and exciting whilst sounding like it’s always been here. These are all brand new venues for us. We wanted to do something special to launch the new album with a bang (a quiet bang as they are acoustic shows only!!). We look forward to seeing some of you there.
